This is Ellie my Chihuahua.

Ellie is so different in nature to my Shih Tzus, she is a proper little lap dog, she follows me everywhere i go and as soon as i sit down she is stright on my knee, she loves been warm and loves to curl up in my jumper and go to sleep, when we go to bed she sleeps right under the quilt and has to be touching me. Ellie is the most loving little girl of all my dogs, the smallist breed with the biggist heart. But with all that said she is definatly the boss when it comes to the other dogs she can put them all in their place and is very fiesty, the shih tzu`s would not dare to go near Ellie while she is sleeping or eating and when we go out walking she has to be in front of the others and has to bark and let all the neighbourhood know she is here.it took us a long time to get her used to going out on her lead, it was so funny when i picked up the dog leads the shih tzus would get excited but little Ellie would run and hide under the table, it took a while but we got there in the end and now she loves her walks with the others.

Anyone wanting a loyal companion who loves nothing better than to be constantly by your side or curled up nice and warm in your jacket, then the chihuahua is the dog for you.  Chih`s don`t need alot of walking if at all they are quite happy just to play in the garden or have a run round in the house, little excercise is needed, so make great apartment pets or companions for the elderly.
